As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
Ability to navigate deep water and utilize watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Pass the lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water without hands for 2 minutes
Experience working with or teaching children is a plus
Red Cross or WSI certification preferred, but not required
Must be at least 18 years old
